Easier and More Intuitive
You and our user community asked, and we are listening! The SMP Team is pleased to announce the introduction of SMP 10 – featuring a full user interface upgrade and improvements throughout the application. SMP 10 will be available to users without any additional work for you or your IT teams – as is standard, SMP releases are pushed to users in the background at the time of login to ensure minimal disruption to their day, and minimal added work to your schedule.
Modern User Interface
In SMP 10, users will find a new, cleaner user interface with navigation relocated to the top in a collapsible fashion to provide users with 20% more usable real estate for reviewing queried/returned data.
Intuitive Operation
In SMP 10 we have renamed many of our subject areas to be more intuitive, allowing for easier on-boarding of new users as your company grows and adds new employees.
Enhanced Navigation
The enhanced navigation in SMP 10 is based on user feedback and provides easy access to commonly used features to allow users to more quickly find and use the tools they need within each area.
Help Sections
A new subject area – Help – has also been added to SMP 10. This gives users the flexibility to access quick information via video tutorials related to frequently asked questions we receive.
On-demand Training
The SMP On-Demand Training Channel is now directly accessible from inside of SMP as aone-stop-shop for all training.

Of course, SMP 10 also includes a host of enhancements and bug fixes.
Modern User Interface
We wanted to make SMP even more user friendly and easy to use. So we built a new, cleaner user interface into SMP 10. One of the first things you’ll notice is that we’ve simplified the top-level menu navigation for faster access and increased working and viewing area on screen. That means you’ll have more room to work inside your screen, display more information and find the most used areas of SMP at your fingertips.
This new UI provides users with 20% more usable real estate for reviewing queried/returned data.

Enhanced Navigation
The enhanced navigation in SMP 10 is based on user feedback and provides easy access to commonly used features to allow users to more quickly find and use the tools they need within each area. We renamed many of our subject areas to be more intuitive, allowing for easier on-boarding of new users as your company grows and adds new employees. We reorganized the executables within each subject area so they follow a similar pattern, so items such as the Run button are always located at the far left, followed by common executables you see in all subject areas, then items specific only to the given subject area. This will allow users to more quickly find and use the tools they need within each area.
Slider bars now exist between query criteria and results panes in every subject area, allowing the user more control over the user interface. Users can completely collapse the query criteria pane (e.g.: after using the Run button, and to give more visible space to their results), or they can simply adjust the overall height of the query criteria pane as needed.


New Help Sections
A new subject area – Help – has also been added to SMP 10. This gives users the flexibility to access quick information via video tutorials related to frequently asked questions we receive. A search box makes it easy to find the exact topic you are looking for.
On-Demand Training
The SMP On-Demand Training Channel is now directly available inside of SMP 10. It is your platform for ongoing training. It will be your new one-stop-shop for all training on SMP, with all SMP Trainings in one central location. Users can then watch directly from their browser wherever they are, at a time and place that’s convenient for them – home or work, via desktop, laptop or tablet, getting help and training when and where they need it.

Of course, SMP 10 also includes a host of enhancements and bug fixes.

Find Companies Fast
We’ve made a number of improvements to the Companies subject area (formerly known as Customers), including:
- Advanced Search Dialogue box has been updated to allow the box to be resized for easier use, and fields can be re-ordered as needed – reordering of fields in this area is retained for convenience of the user.
- Dropdown search has been modified to return all available Companies and/or Contacts based on the user’s search criteria – the list will auto populate as the user scrolls through the dropdown
- New, manually created Company records will default to Gen Class of Other (prospects) since records being manually added are typically a prospect. This Gen Class value remains change-able by the user as needed before or after the save of information.
Addition of Customer Meeting Status
Meeting activities now feature a Status box – so the user can mark the latest status of the meeting as needed. Status options are reflective of those SMP users are accustomed to.


Mass Deactivate Opportunity Records
Opportunity Review (formerly known as Project Review) now allows users to deactivate opportunities in groups (more than one at a time) on an as-needed basis. This will allow more frequent and quick clean-up of Opportunities on an as-needed basis. As is standard in SMP, inactive items remain query-able and accessible to users, if needed.
